*Free* Library Training for UConn Grad students! (and library staff ...)

Hi all,

We are running our peer-to-peer graduate student training again on
citation searching. If you feel this would benefit any students you
know, please feel free to forward this announcement to them. Also note
that library staff are welcome to attend any of the sessions!

Please let me know if you have any questions.

thanks,
stephanie

***** Free Library Training in February & March! *****

Do you ever need to know ...

- What's the most important article in your field? A seminal article?
- How many times your article has been cited? How about an article by
your advisor / colleague / friend / enemy?
- How to do a literature search that covers more than one discipline
(i.e., search computer science, psychology, AND biology at the same
time)?

The library "search engines" Scopus and Web of Science can answer the
above questions and more. See them at
http://rdl.lib.uconn.edu/subjects/2081

The UConn Libraries is offering free Citation Search Seminars for you
to learn more. Graduate students will teach you how to maximize your
library research time AND provide practice time to do your own
searching
in one 90-minute seminar.

***** Seminars Are Offered As Follows *****
Monday classes: early (4-5:30) or late (6-7:30)
- March 3
- March 17

Tuesday classes: early (4-5:30) or late (6-7:30)
- February 26
- March 11
- March 25

Bonus: we will give $10 gift certificates to the UConn Coop to all
attendees and we will raffle off a $25 gift certificate at each
session.

Advance registration is required for these free seminars, and
attendance at each session is limited to 15. Email citation-searching@uconn.edu
to register or to find out more, or check out our Citation Searching
