As you may know, Haworth Press was recently purchased by Taylor & Francis.
A few of you have mentioned to ELibrary that the current Haworth Press web site – the home for the 70+ Haworth journals to which we subscribe – is very slow (with load times ranging from 30 seconds to over 3 minutes).
Below, please find the email that the Taylor & Francis representative sent me regarding the web site:
Unfortunately, haworthpress is a slow website – we apologize for the inconvenience. Please be advised that all former Haworth titles will be moved to our own website, informaworld, in early 2009. This will eliminate long downloading times and will be more convenient for the users.
I’ve made a note explaining this in SFX and Lynn may be able to do the same in Serials Solutions. In most cases, we have found that the page / article / citation will eventually load, but it can take up to 3 minutes.
